RIVERBOAT TRIP To

riverboat trip to Imofossen

This tour is the ultimate day trip to experience the highlights of Reisa National Park in one day. The further into the National Park we travel by riverboat, the wilder nature becomes. Here you will experience a “canyon” of steep mountainsides, spectacular waterfalls, wild wildlife, and lush green nature that makes memories for life. Our destination of the day is the beating heart of Reisa National Park, the mighty Imo waterfall!

Tour Detail

We will pass famous landmarks such as the Sieimma King, rock carvings, and the Mollisfossen waterfall. If desired, we set aside time to stop at these sights.

We start the hike to the Imofossen waterfall from Nausti. The trip takes about 1.5 hours of leisurely walking each way. The hike is an experience in itself, with partly challenging terrain on a well-adapted hiking trail. At Imofossen, we enjoy the sight and experience of two magnificent waterfalls that drop 30 meters into a gorge. At the campfire site, we cook coffee and have lunch before we start back.

On the trip down back, we set aside time for a stop at the mighty Mollisfossen waterfall!

We start the exciting riverboat tour into Reisa National Park from the “Øvre Kirkestilla,” which lies past Saraelv, right at the very end of the Reisa Valley road. Here you will also find the “Ovi Raishiin – Visitor Point of Reisadalen” which is recommended to be visited before or after the riverboat trip.
